While Vince Staples and I come from different backgrounds, his words always resonate with me. I would describe this album as a meditation on monotony and melancholy (shoutout to alliterations). The black boys who listened to Tyler at my high school were insufferable. After Flower Boy, I have now converted to a Tyler the creator fan.
